Alasdair [on left] is an independent IT Project Manager with a keen interest in horticulture [Begonias, Dahlias, Roses and Grapes in particular], and keeping in touch with his Scottish ancenstry with Scottish Country Dancing/Singing when time permits. He was inspired to plant grapes on the Korokoro hillside after a week's stay in the Moselle Valley in Germany in 1995. Alasdair also enjoys play-reading and script-writing, again when time permits. Chris [right] is a contract Audit/Risk Manager. Chris has an equally keen interest in wines [tasting particularly], international travel, and keeping in contact with his Yorkshire roots. Chris has studied French to A level, and can converse well in French. His also knows a wee bit of Italian. Both are keen cinema/theatre and Arts Festival followers. Our last European Holiday was in 2008, spending 3 months in the UK, and in the South of France have reminded us on the joys and tribulations that travellers encounter. It is always great to visit Europe, especially during a kiwi winter, but equally nice to come back and enjoy everything that New Zealand has to offer. In August 2009 we travelled to Tibet for something "completely different" and now grown to appreciate the history of that region of China.

Co-hosts are our two Blue Roan cocker spaniels Raq and Rohan. Born in January 2000, they will give you a big welcome as you come to visit us at Devenport. Raq's hobbies include chasing birds and licking concrete, whereas Rohan is happiest when chasing shadows or light from a torch. They are brothers from the same litter and herald from a good wine road in the Hawkes Bay (en route to Kemblefield's).
